AMBASSADORS OF HOPE
BECOMING A ROLE MODEL FOR OTHER YOUNG PEOPLE.
I learnt how to take my people skills and really turn it into a valuable asset and that is now something that I also share with all the young people I work with.
JAHED, 25, LONDON
I love talking and engaging with people. It’s one of my strengths that I am a people person but I struggled to find work in the youth sector. I have done so many courses and training but I couldn’t get a job in the field that I wanted.
It was at a Lysis opportunity that I connected with people (Hudl) that I knew previously who helped me in signposting opportunities to me and one of them was a part time role as a Young Facilitator at an east London charity. From having that on my cv I was able to get a job working with young people in PRU’s and I loved it!
I have really built my experience working with young people and this was because of networking and I know that it something that Damilola Taylor Trust and Hudl do so well and encourage. I learnt how to take my people skills and really turn it into a valuable asset and that is now something that I also share with all the young people I work with.
