AMBASSADORS OF HOPE
Campaigning against youth violence.
I aspire to be a human being who defines her own path and encourages others to not let their past or situation define who they are and who they can be. After graduating my plans are to work in crime and intelligence and do a masters and work in policy.
Samira – London
Youth violence has been an issue that I have been campaigning for a couple of years now. Having finished my term in UK youth parliament and as the procedures group member in the British youth council for London I have had more time to solely focus on campaigning for raising awareness of the causes and solutions around youth violence.
I have taken part in youth forums set up by the government for youth violence and events such as the Final word, the youth violence commission report. This has all been done alongside me studying politics and international relations. My ambition is something that stems for my grandmother who didn’t let her financial or social circumstances define her future. I want to do the same and seeing her graduate in medicine and becoming a doctor under those circumstances she is my role model and who I look up to.
I aspire to be a human being who defines her own path and encourages others to not let their past or situation define who they are and who they can be. After graduating my plans are to work in crime and intelligence and do a masters and work in policy.
