Bringing financial literacy to the UK

My dream is to bring financial literacy and basic wealth knowledge to every household in the UK. Though we still have thousands more households to reach, I am an ambassador of hope and I know we can achieve this!

In the UK, financial literacy seems to be a game that many people aren’t given the instructions to, despite living in a country which requires money to obtain basic resources and is flooded with debt and homelessness.

Coming from a low income, single parent family in South London, to navigating my way into an asset management company, investing in property at 21 and buying a 3 bedroom house at 23, I’ve seen just how wide the disparity of information is for people who came from communities like mine.

Had I not landed an apprenticeship at an asset management company, I would’ve been oblivious to the information I have now. Personal finance and basic wealth knowledge shouldn’t be a privilege, and I hope to be the person to make the game fair for everyone by bringing this knowledge to every household in the UK. To date, my initiative Change Blueprint has enabled hundreds of households to better their finances, invest their money and get on the property ladder via workshops, online content, sessions for universities, organisations and other educational institutions. Though we still have thousands more households to reach, I am an ambassador of hope and I know we can achieve this!
